Website Visitor Tracking

Overview

Bizzy’s Website Visitor Tracking lets you see which companies visit your website, turning anonymous website traffic into actionable leads inside your Bizzy Lead Database.

Once installed, you can identify companies showing real buying intent, view their website activity, and connect with the right contacts directly from Bizzy.

Note:This feature is currently available only in the Bizzy Lead Generation platform and not yet in the Sales Agent. If you’re on a Pro plan or higher, you can purchase it as an add-on to your license.

Why it matters

Until now, website visitors often remained invisible, even when they matched your Ideal Customer Profile.

With Website Visitor Tracking, Bizzy connects your inbound intent data (who is visiting your site) with your outbound prospecting workflows (who you are reaching out to).

This means you do not just see the name of the company, but also their Bizzy company page, with extra details such as what they do, their size, sector, and the right contacts (including phone numbers and email addresses when available).

This gives you:

  • Visibility into companies already showing interest
  • A faster way to follow up on warm leads
  • The ability to combine website visitor insights with all existing Bizzy filters

How it works

Setting it up

To start tracking visitors:

  • Go to Settings → Integrations → Website Visitor Tracking
  • Click Add website
  • Enter your website domain and select the countries you want to include (BE, FR, NL)
  • Bizzy generates a unique snippet for your website
  • Copy the snippet and paste it inside the <head> tag of your website’s HTML
  • Bizzy automatically verifies the installation. Once validated, you will see Tracking enabled within 24 hours

Tip: You can also install the snippet via Google Tag Manager or another tag system.

Note: If you need technical details about how to add the snippet, scroll down to “Technical installation.”

Understanding your tracking

  • You can choose on which pages Bizzy detects website visitors. For example, you can track only your pricing or contact page, or your entire website. You can set this up in two ways:
    • Include all pages: Bizzy will track every page linked to your domain (you can still exclude specific pages if needed).
    • Track specific pages: You can manually add only the pages you want to track.
  • Each visit gives you insight into which pages companies are viewing and how engaged they are, helping you understand what potential clients are most interested in.
  • It can take up to 24 hours after installation for visitors to appear. Once the snippet is active, Bizzy starts collecting visits automatically.
  • Bizzy identifies companies, not individual people. Once a company is detected, you can open its People tab in Bizzy or apply contact filters (department, role, seniority) to reach the most relevant person for follow-up.

Viewing results in Bizzy

Once your snippet is active, new company visits will start appearing automatically in your Bizzy account.

  • List view: A pink icon will appear next to all companies that have been visiting your companies website.

  • Filter view:

Apply the Website Visitors filter in the Lead Database.

    • Filter by website domain
    • Filter by page URL
    • Filter by date of visit (Today, Last 7 days, Custom range)
  • Company Page view:

Open a company that visited your website and check the Website Visitors tab.

    You will see:

    • A chronological timeline of visits
    • Pages viewed and time spent
    • Total visits and the last visit date

Best practices and next steps

  • Install the snippet on your main domain (and subdomains if applicable)
  • Check the Website Visitors filter regularly to discover new inbound interest
  • Save your visitor lists as Smart Lists so they are automatically updated with new companies that visit your website
  • Share access with your team so they can easily follow up on new visitors directly from Bizzy

Technical installation

If you or your web developer manage your website manually or through a CMS, you can install the Bizzy tracking snippet in several ways.

Follow one of the options below depending on how your website is built.

Option 1: Add the snippet manually to your HTML

  1. Copy your Bizzy tracking snippet from Settings → Integrations → Website Visitor Tracking.

  2. Open the HTML code of your website (for example in your CMS, hosting panel, or via FTP).

  3. Paste the snippet between the <head> and </head> tags, before any closing scripts.

    <head>
      ...
      <script>
        [Your Bizzy tracking code here]
      </script>
    </head>

  4. Save and publish your changes.

This ensures the snippet loads automatically on every page you want to track.

Option 2: Add the snippet using Google Tag Manager

  1. Go to your Google Tag Manager account.
  2. Click Add a new tag and choose Custom HTML.
  3. Paste your Bizzy tracking snippet into the HTML box.
  4. Under “Triggering,” select All Pages (to track your entire website) or specify only certain pages.
  5. Save and publish your changes.

Tip: Tag Manager installation is recommended if you update your website frequently or do not have direct access to your source code.

Option 3: Add the snippet through your CMS

If you are using a website builder like WordPress, Webflow, Wix, or Squarespace:

  • Go to your site’s Custom Code or Header Scripts section (usually under Settings → Advanced or Integrations).
  • Paste your Bizzy snippet inside the Header area.
  • Save and publish your changes.

Each platform has slightly different steps.

If you are unsure, share the snippet and this article with your developer.

After installation, Bizzy will automatically verify that your snippet is active.

Verification can take up to 24 hours. Once confirmed, the status next to your domain will show Tracking enabled, and new visitors will start appearing in your Lead Database.
